Wayne Rooney: Sir Alex Ferguson says Man Utd striker wants to go

 Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has Cheap Snapback Hats Wholesale confirmed Wayne Rooney has asked for a transfer away from the Old Trafford club.

Rooney, 27, was not in United's squad for the 2-1 win over Swansea on Sunday in Ferguson's final home game before retiring at the end of the season.

"We have refused it," said Ferguson about Rooney's transfer request.

 Asked whether the England international striker will stay at the club, Ferguson added: "It's not my decision now."

It is the second time Rooney has asked to leave United, with the first having come in October 2010 before he opted to stay and signed a five-year deal.

His future is now set to be one of the first items on the  California Republic Snapbacks      agenda of incoming United manager David Moyes, who is to leave Everton at the end of the season and take over at Old Trafford on 1 July.

Rooney played under Moyes as a teenager at Goodison Park before joining United in August 2004.

Ferguson added: "I think he should go away and think it over again.

"He wasn't happy about being taken off a few times this season but a Wayne Rooney in top form wouldn't be taken off."

The outgoing United manager also revealed Rooney did not want to feature against Swansea despite the occasion.

"I don't think Wayne was keen to play, Hightailer Snapbacks      simply because he has asked for a transfer," Ferguson added.

Barcelona's Lionel Messi suffers hamstring injury recurrence

 Lionel Messi could miss the rest of Barcelona's season Cheap Snapback Hats Wholesale after suffering a recurrence of a hamstring injury in the 2-1 win against Atletico Madrid.

The 25-year-old Argentina forward will have tests on the injury on Monday.

Messi has struggled to regain full fitness since straining his hamstring during a Champions League match against Paris St-Germain in April.

"He was bothered in the same area. He felt a strange sensation," said Barca boss Tito Vilanova of Messi's injury.

 Vilanova added that Monday's tests should reveal if the forward is to be out for "days or weeks".

After coming off the bench to kick-start Barcelona in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final against PSG on 10 April, Messi was left on the bench for the second leg of the semi-final against Bayern Munich with Vilanova deciding it was too risky to play him in pursuit of a 4-0 deficit.

Roberto Mancini: Man City set to bring in Manuel Pellegrini

 Manchester City are poised to sack manager Roberto Mancini and replace him with Malaga's Manuel Pellegrini.

Mancini took over from Mark Hughes in December 2009, Cheap Snapback For Sale leading City to the FA Cup in 2011 and the Premier League title a year later.

But the 48-year-old Italian saw his side lose this year's FA Cup final to Wigan at Wembley on Saturday.

 After the game, he criticised the club for not quashing reports that a deal with Pellegrini, 59, was already done.

"You [the media] continue to speak about this for six months and also too much in the last two weeks," said Mancini.

"I don't know why the club didn't stop this because I don't think it's true."

City officials met with with Pellegrini's agent, Jesus Martinez, in April. Martinez also represents Malaga midfielder Isco, a reported target for the Blues, and Mancini has admitted he did not know why the meeting had taken place.

His fate could have been sealed even before Wigan's 1-0 win on Saturday and, after his criticism of City officials, there are now suggestions he may even lose his job this week.

It is understood there is no formal announcement planned as yet Block Snap  Snapbacks       but the silence surrounding Mancini strikes an ominous tone for the former Inter Milan and Lazio boss.

Malaga reached the last eight of this season's competition, before being knocked out by Dortmund and are sixth in the Spanish top flight.

However, they will not be appearing in Europe next term Snap It Back Snapbacks  after being banned by Uefa over unpaid bills.
